15-minute cities mean cities where a resident can reach all the necessary places during a short, 15-minute journey. These are cities that provide many mobility solutions, supporting pedestrian traffic, but also decentralized services – education, shops, offices. Thanks to this, 15-minute cities are not jammed, the air quality is better, and the lives of residents are better. Our solutions support the development of 15-minute cities and pedestrian cities – charging stations for scooters and city bikes, solar benches, bus shelters.
The 15-minute city model, originating from the work of Carlos Moreno, a French-Colombian scientist, advocates for a shift from car-based transportation to a combination of public transport with micromobility.
By reducing the reliance on cars for mobility, this model decreases travel time and pollution in cities, contributing to the creation of healthier and more vibrant urban environments. A high-quality public transport system and necessary infrastructure that enhances the convenience of using micromobility are essential prerequisites for adopting this change.
Benefits of implementing multi-modal transportation:
Our Solutions for Modern Cities
Faced with the growing need to create sustainable, functional, and accessible urban spaces, SEEDiA introduces innovative products tailored to the concept of 15-minute cities. Our solutions, including solar bus shelters and chargers for scooters and bicycles, are not just an aesthetic element of public space, but a key component of modern urban planning.
Solar Bus Shelters
Our intelligent bus shelters, equipped with additional functionalities, enhance the comfort of using public transport. From a user’s perspective, the stops allow for the charging of mobile devices through induction or USB port, and connection to free Wi-Fi. The city, meanwhile, saves energy thanks to photovoltaic panels, and gains insight into data collected by sensors located in the shelter.
Charging Stations for Scooters and Electric Bikes
jCharge chargers allow for convenient use of private scooters and electric bikes in urban spaces. The locking system ensures safe charging while the owner is not using the device, and solar panels charge the scooter or bike with clean energy.
Solar Benches and InfoKiosks
Each solar bench we produce, besides its unique design, is equipped with USB chargers and optionally a Wi-Fi module, encouraging residents to spend time outdoors. Infokiosks, on the other hand, serve as an effective way of communication between the city and residents, allowing for the display of information on an e-paper screen controlled by our InCity system.
