SEEDiA is part of the City of the Future created by Microsoft. Microsoft City of the Future is a concept based on dozens of technological solutions prepared by Polish companies, which shows how technology has the chance to transform the urban tissue for the benefit of its inhabitants. The concept was presented at the Microsoft Innovation Summit conference in Warsaw.
In the City of the Future there must be places to rest. Thanks to solar-powered SEEDiA products – benches equipped with USB ports, mp3 players and e-paper screens – residents have the chance to turn the park into their own personalized space. There are also intelligent waste containers in the city, thanks to which the garbage will stop being deposited in containers – they will be segregated and exported on a regular basis.
The presented vision of the City of the Future is based on solutions of over 30 Polish software suppliers. Based on the Microsoft cloud, we implement our technologies that allow us to bring online and offline worlds closer together and adapt them to the changing needs and expectations in the digital world. We’re talking about Microsoft Azure. It is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft to build, test, implement and manage applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers.
Another project that premiered in October is the first Microsoft Technology Center in Central Europe! Thanks to MTC, we can better understand customer needs in the digital age. Inside the so-called Innovation Avenue, which currently presents 14 Microsoft partner solutions, including the SEEDiA solar bench!
