SEEDiA is among several prominent young Polish companies to get a chance to demonstrate its products and solutions at the festival in Austin, TX, which this year will take place from March 9th until March 18th. The company will be represented by its CEO, Piotr Hołubowicz, who will present its CITY bench collection, featuring a photovoltaic panel, USB and inductive chargers, as well as WiFi connection.
“We are glad to find ourselves among such a narrow choice of companies that will represent our country in such an important international event. On one hand it is encouraging that we get a chance to show Poland as a country of creative and entrepreneurial people, while on the other we will have the possibility to reach out with our offer to new customers from all around the world”, says Piotr Hołubowicz, CEO SEEDiA.
The Polish stand is jointly organized by Adam Mickiewicz Institute and Polish Investment and Trade Agency. Catering to the needs of young companies, these two institutions are financing the costs of creating the station and purchasing SXSW entrance tickets.
The festival’s motto says that the most unexpected discoveries happen when you connect topics and people from various areas of expertise. Every year it is possible to meet investors and visionaries from the Silicon Valley, as well as creators of unorthodox companies from around the world. The world of art also has its representation in multiple artists, directors and musicians. The festival includes discussion panels, shows, exhibitions and fairs.
This year some of the conference’s guests will include among others Peter Thiel, a Silicon Valley investor and one of PayPal’s founders, startup celebrity Gary Vaynerchuk, Apache server developer Brian Behlendorf, the Mayor of London Sadi Khan and director Darren Aronofsky.
