The village of Tryńcza in southeastern Poland has chosen to enhance the quality of its local bus transportation system by installing two of our solar-powered bus shelters.

Solar Bus Shelter

These modern bus shelters offer a range of features that go beyond providing a simple place to sit and wait for the bus. They include USB ports, wireless charging spots, and a free Wi-Fi hotspot.

Additionally, the shelter is equipped with various essential sensors, such as smog sensors and smart lighting that automatically adjusts the LEDs based on outdoor conditions. As an added safety measure, each bus shelter also incorporates a CCTV camera located in the upper left corner. For the convenience of older residents the shelter features an audio module that has the ability to read out the schedule of incoming buses with their destinations.

All that is powered directly from the sun via the 4 solar panels present at the top of the shelter. The functions of the bus shelter can be remotely adjusted using our InCity.io platform, which also provides insights into the amount of produced and consumed energy and reduction of emissions.

The location of these bus shelters facilitates the needs of the community as it improves the comfort of using the local bus network, which connects the area to the nearby larger towns in the region. These bus stops not only make commuting more convenient and environmentally friendly but also contribute to the village’s commitment to sustainability. By harnessing the power of the sun, Tryńcza is taking a step toward reducing its carbon footprint and promoting a cleaner, greener environment.
