How to reduce the cost of waste management?

Collection is one of the most important urban processes. The European Union’s strict recycling rules make cities vulnerable to additional costs – for penalties or for continually improving processes.

One simple way to reduce the cost of collecting waste from public garbage cans (reducing costs by as much as 43%) is the installation of smart city baskets with the function of measuring the level of garbage. The equipment remotely reports the level of filling, and the system allows the operator to quickly plan waste routes so that the fleet only handles full bins. This tool significantly reduces waste collection costs.

SEEDiA City Trash Can

We have designed the City Trash Can after watching the real needs of cities – monitoring the level of garbage in baskets for municipal services, as well as for residents – to help them throw away waste to un-filled bins. We have adapted the design to the iconic City line, loved by users, maintaining zero number of external fasteners.
